Plenius · 2026
Editorial policy
This policy describes how Plenius commissions, researches, edits and corrects its informational content.
1. Editorial purpose
Plenius publishes clear, measured explainers about food patterns, wellbeing and everyday context. We aim to distinguish established guidance, emerging evidence, lived experience and editorial interpretation.
We avoid sensational wording, personal outcome promises and language that makes readers feel judged. Content is reviewed for clarity, relevance, attribution and responsible boundaries.
2. Research and sources
Writers use public guidance, primary research where suitable and reputable institutional material. A source is considered for authority, date, relevance, methods and whether its wording supports the conclusion being presented.
Where evidence is mixed, the article says so. Links may be added for readers who want to inspect the underlying context, and material is checked again when a significant correction is reported.
3. Commissioning and conflicts
Authors and contributors should disclose relevant financial, professional or personal interests before publication. Conflicts are assessed by the editorial lead and may be managed through disclosure, reassignment or non-publication.
Editorial decisions are not made in exchange for favourable wording. Any commercial relationship must be kept separate from source selection and fact checking.
4. Corrections and complaints
We correct factual errors promptly when verified. Minor spelling or style changes may be made without a public note, while material changes should be identified with an updated date and a concise correction record.
Send a correction request to 78 High Street, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 1DE, United Kingdom, or call +44 131 496 0743. We aim to acknowledge it within five working days and provide an outcome within 20 working days.
5. Images and contributors
Images and quotations must have a lawful source and should not misrepresent a person, place or finding. Contributors retain agreed rights, while Plenius retains the right to edit for accuracy, length and accessibility.
6. Review history
This policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026. The next routine review is planned within 12 months, or sooner if editorial standards or applicable law changes.
Editorial scope includes commissioning, research, drafting, headlines, images, captions, links, updates and corrections. A contributor’s experience is considered alongside the quality of the source material, and no single source is treated as sufficient where the subject is contested or likely to be misunderstood. Plain language is preferred when it can convey the same meaning without losing important qualification.
Sources are recorded during preparation so an editor can check the date, author, method and relevant limitations. Where a source is not freely available, the article should describe it accurately without implying that readers have reviewed material they cannot access. A correction may be made promptly when a factual error changes meaning, while minor typographical changes may be made without a public note.
Commercial relationships, complimentary access and commissioned work are recorded for editorial review. A disclosure is considered when a reasonable reader could think the relationship affected the coverage, and disclosure does not replace independent checking. Sponsored material is handled under the Advertising and Sponsorship Policy and is not presented as an independent editorial conclusion.
Readers may suggest a correction by writing to 78 High Street, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 1DE, United Kingdom, or calling +44 131 496 0743. Include the page address, precise wording, supporting source and a way to receive a response. We aim to acknowledge a report within five working days and normally assess a substantive correction within 20 working days, depending on the evidence.
The policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026. Material changes are dated and recorded in the editorial log, including changes to source standards, disclosures or correction practice. Personal information supplied with a correction is used for that request and normally removed within 12 months after closure.
